Advent Concert on the ZDF - online till 23rd of December
In the meantime it has become a much loved tradition, bringing festive sounds to Dresden’s music-lovers and the viewers of national broadcaster ZDF. The city’s Frauenkirche, rebuilt more than ten years ago, has for some time formed the splendid and highly symbolic backdrop to this event, ensuring moments of reflection as well as glad tidings. The concert was conducted by Andrés Orozco-Estrada, here making his debut on the Staatskapelle rostrum. The Dresdner Kreuzchor, Dresdner Kammerchor, as well as Sonya Yoncheva and Regula Mühlemann (soprano) interpreted works by Mozart, Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Schubert and Händel among others.
